Restaurant Rheingold in Bad Honnef

The food always tastes very good here.

Due to the coronavirus, we ordered food home today, so we can support the local gastronomy a little. As always, super nice service and the food tasted really good again at home. Gladly again!

A nice restaurant with a cozy outside atmosphere. Despite the current crisis situation and spontaneous reservation for several people, a heated, beautiful place was prepared for us. At first irritated by the non-existent menu, which was handed out by hand, the restaurant does justice to the technological edge with a lush digital (QR) menu. There is a lot on offer here for meat lovers, including specialties with Croatian roots. There was also a lot to choose from depending on the season. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. Gladly again, highly recommended 😊

Sorry, but it is not good. Despite a reservation for 4 people, we were seated at a very small table in an ugly corner. We didn't particularly like the food. French fries were very heavily baked, the supposedly fiery skewer was fluffy. We won't be back.

Food was great for me. Heating screens outside, the menu can be read by QR code or larger outside and inside. The waitresses took great care of your wellbeing.

Without a reservation I only got an outdoor table at the fence, which made for a lot of noise from the passing traffic. People locking their bikes directly behind me didn’t help matters. The food, however, was good, especially the dessert. Service was ok, too. I’m sure, I would have enjoyed the experience more at a table closer to the main building.

Nice and tasty restaurant on the Rhine promenade. We ate meat skewers with rice and french fries with a seasonal salad. Staff is nice and you can sit comfortably outside. Prices are reasonable.

A somewhat hidden restaurant with good charm. Located on a tributary of the Rhine. One of the most beautiful corners of Bad Honnef. Very good parking. Guests indoors approx. 50, outdoors approx. 40 people. Corona-related less. The menu varied. There is always something for young and old. Direction of Yugoslav cuisine. The food is very tasty and good portions. Family / club celebrations are also possible. Log in, check for yourself .... no go there ... 😊

Hello, this restaurant is nicely decorated. It has a great outside area. We only drank 2 cyclists, so we can't write anything about the meal.

Table for 5 was not a problem. Great service, even better food and a beautiful outside area. I can only recommend. Thanks to the owner.

We were there spontaneously yesterday and are thrilled. Although we didn't make reservations, we quickly got a nice table for 2 people with a small dog. The waitresses were all friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty for our taste and the portions really sufficient. If we lived here, we would definitely be regular guests. If we are in the area again, we will come back.

The landlord is flexible, unfortunately he didn't ask if I would like a small or large beer.

The food is delicious and plentiful. We would love to come back. From the outside, the house looks rather inconspicuous, but this can also be due to the rainy weather, as some things look inconspicuous. There are parking spaces directly behind the house.

Everything great. If we were eating here, as well as on Saturday, we were always very friendly and very attentive. The food was good for us and our guests (12 people) and was as always rich. Guest room, tablecloths, glasses are clean. I looked at the negative reviews. Anyone who criticizes should be able to name the negative points and should also have suggestions for improvement. If the salad dressing does not match the taste, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar are on the table for those who can handle it. The food is as I expect it when I go Croatian food, because value for money. If you expect star cuisine, go elsewhere and get used to small portions and higher prices.

The restaurant Rheingold can only be recommended. Of course, I could now rave about the food and the atmosphere like you usually do when rating gastronomic establishments. I can promise you that these two factors will more than be fulfilled. But what makes this shop so special? For me, owners like his always attentive staff make you feel welcome. A feeling rarely experienced. I can only recommend anyone to visit this great store!

In a sunny day...it's a must! Good beer and refreshing wine with some typical German food specialities. Good option also for a coffee

Arrived at Bad Honnef on the tram from Bonn and found the Restaurant Rheingold across the road. It was about 1830 on a Sunday July 2015 when the daytime temperature had reached >40C. Fortunately what we Australians would call something of a cool change had arrived just before us so sitting on the balcony enjoying a beer (and then the food) was most enjoyable. My travelling companion and I do not speak German but language wasn't a problem. Beer was cold and refreshing and the food (don't recall the actual dishes) was possibly the best of our eight week European adventure from Australia. Got the impression they didn't get too many "walk up" patrons from Australia arriving by tram but what a wonderful way to complete a very hot and tiring summer day. The tram ride especially at the Bad Honnef end where it passes close to the river was most enjoyable. Restaurant Rheingold is highly recommended.
